Our Story
The couple met on Saturday December 3rd, 2022, which happened to be Dan’s 27th birthday! Safe to say he couldn’t have imagined a better birthday gift than meeting Alexa. After working up the courage to introduce himself to her, Dan and Alexa bonded through comparing their respective newly-released Spotify Wrapped playlists, which revealed Dan’s hidden affinity for Taylor Swift and Alexa’s appreciation for classic rock. They chatted the whole evening, and Dan couldn’t wait a day before reaching out and asking Alexa if she wanted to go ice skating in Bryant Park that Thursday. Later on, Alexa confessed that she always wanted to go skating at Christmastime in the big city with someone she loved, and three years later, the couple hasn’t missed commemorating the anniversary of their first date by returning to the rink at Bryant Park each year.
Dan fell quickly for Alexa’s boundless devotion to the well-being of others, her determination in the face of adversity and the joie de vivre she possesses best embodied by her never-ending appreciation of the simple things in life like love, family, friends, and homemade strawberry shortcake. Alexa grew to admire Dan’s love of family, his positive approach to taking on each day and life’s challenges, and his old soul (and accompanying “old man phrases”).
We are so grateful to share this day with you all, our loved ones, family and closest friends. Each one of you has helped to shape us and lay the foundation for our love, and we could not be more grateful for that and for your presence as we say “I do.”

What is the dress code for the wedding?
The dress code for our wedding is Black Tie Optional. Guests are encouraged to dress formally, while allowing some flexibility. For women, this typically includes a floor-length gown, an elegant midi dress, or a refined cocktail dress. For men, a tuxedo is welcome but not required—a dark, well-tailored suit with a dress shirt and tie or bow tie is perfectly appropriate.
Both the ceremony and reception will take place indoors, so you can dress comfortably for an elegant evening without needing to plan for outdoor weather.
What is the dress code for the welcome drinks?
The welcome drinks attire is cocktail attire. Guests are encouraged to dress stylishly and polished—think cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or chic separates for women, and suits or sport coats with dress pants for men (ties optional).
As the event will take place during a spring evening in Rhode Island, temperatures can vary and may range from 40–60 degrees. We recommend bringing a light coat, wrap, or blazer.
Will transportation be provided?
Yes! Transportation will be provided throughout the weekend for your convenience.
• Friday Welcome Drinks: Transportation will pick up guests in downtown Newport at the Marriott and return guests to the Marriott following the event.
• Wedding Day: Transportation will be provided from downtown Newport (Marriott) to the ceremony at Our Lady of Mercy, then onward to the reception at OceanCliff, and back to downtown Newport.
• Return Service: Shuttles will run to and from OceanCliff until 1:00 AM.
Where are you registered?
Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift. However, for those who wish to give, we are registered with a honeymoon fund, which allows guests to contribute toward experiences we’ll enjoy on our honeymoon together.
